During a recent legal case which I was involved in I worked with some of the finest attorneys from the law offices of Dr. Bruce G. Fagel. I had taken quite some time to find an attorney because the truth is that there are just so many options out there, and it is tough to know which is the best. If you do take the time however you can certainly whittle down your options so that you can make the best decision for you. 

No matter what the case is that you happened to be involved in, there are certain things which you should be looking fr in a great attorney, and here is how I did it. 

Find The Speciality 

As we mentioned in the intro, the key is whittling down your options to just a few. In order to get started you need to look for attorneys in your area which specialize in the particular area which your case falls. If you are unsure of where your case lands, a search engine can tell you in no time. 

Check Out Reviews

Once you have found the attorneys which specialize in, let’s say family law, in your area, the next step is to check out reviews. What you are looking for here is an overall score, as well as some helpful information from previous clients. If you can, try to find clients who were involved in a similar case to yours and then see what they are saying about how the attorney handled the situation and what the outcome was. This should give you a really good idea for what the attorneys are like. Pick the top 3 law firms in your area which specialize in your particular case, and base it on those with the best reviews and the happiest clients. 

Start Making Calls

The next step is to call each law firm on your list and then make calls to arrange meetings with them. If you find that one cannot see you or they have no availability any time soon, go back to the reviews and pick another which looks good to you. 

During The Meeting 

What you are looking for when you do eventually meet up with the law firm is that they make you feel comfortable and that they communicate clearly with you. Once you have explained the situation of the case they should give you the confidence that they have listened and that they have an understanding of how things may look. Make sure that you ask about price, they won’t have a concrete figure at this stage but they should at least be able to give you an indication as to what costs you will be looking at here. And finally make sure that you speak to all three firms on your list before you decide to select one. 

The more time you spend on this the better an attorney you will find.
